［９日　ロイター］ - 大人気バトルゲーム「フォートナイト」を販売・配信する米エピック・ゲームズは９日、ソニー (T:)が２億５０００万ドルを出資して少数株主になったと発表した。

ブルームバーグは先月、エピック・ゲームズによる７億５０００万ドルの資金調達ラウンドが完了間近だと報じていた。調達先にはＴ・ロウ・プライス・グループ (O:)やベイリー・ギフォードなどが名を連ね、評価額は約１７０億ドルとされていた。

エピック・ゲームズは２０１８年には、ＫＫＲ (N:)などから１２億５０００万ドルを調達している。
